Aparna Bhatnagar is the cofounder of India's first sustainability certified online retail store, www.GreenNGood.com showcasing over 5000 daily use products that are eco-friendly and socially responsible. Products include organic and natural food, clothing, cosmetics, recycled and up-cycled home d├ęcor, accessories, energy saving alternatives, threatened handicrafts etc. Most of these products are made by NGOs, people with disability, rural artisans or green entrepreneurs. 

Aparna is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and Delhi school of Economics. She has previously worked with NGOs such as Seva Mandir and also corporates like Citibank, ICICI and Dun & Bradstreet.

 

Mr Anshu Gupta

Founder Director, GOONJ

Popularly known as the Clothing Man, Anshu has done his Mass communications twice and masters in Economics. Starting as a freelance journalist, Anshu left a corporate job in 1998 and founded GOONJ with a mission to make clothing a matter of concern and to bring it among the list of subjects for the development sector. An Ashoka Fellow and the Global Ambassador of Ashoka, Anshu is creating a mass movement for recycling and reuse of tonnes of waste material by channelising it from the cities to the villages, as a resource for rural development. A powerful and inspiring speaker, Anshu addresses many national and international forums to bring clothing on the development agenda and to motivate the youth to take action. He is a regular speaker in many parts of the world on innovation, leadership, village development, power of youths and social entrepreneurship.

Ms Aarti Wig

India Country Director, YUNUS Social Business

Aarti is co-founder of Yunus Social Business India, created by Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus to accelerate problem solving businesses- social businesses- globally. Aarti helped set up and manages India's first Yunus social business fund in Mumbai to provide financial support to social businesses in India. She has also advised several universities and corporates on creating social businesses. Aarti is a regular speaker at several Indian and international social enterprise events. Aarti was previously an investment banker at JPMorgan in Mumbai and has a Masters in Finance from the London School of Economics

Mr T V Narendran

Managing Director, India and South East Asia- TATA Steel

Mr. T.V. Narendran is a Mechanical Engineer from REC (NIT), Trichy. He joined Tata Steel after completing his MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1988. He is a Chevening Scholar and has also attended the Advanced Management Programme in CEDEP - INSEAD, Fountainbleau, France. Before being appointed as MD - Tata Steel India and South East Asia, on November 1, 2013, Mr. Narendran was the Vice President - Safety, Flat Products & Long Products Divisions of Tata Steel.

 During his stint in NatSteel, Mr. Narendran was a director on the Board of South East Asia Iron & Steel Institute (SEAISI) and also served as the President of the ASEAN Iron & Steel Federation (AISIF) from 2007 to 2009. He was also the Vice Chairman of the CII (India Business Forum) in Singapore. He is currently on the boards of Tata Steel Limited, CEDEP and World Steel Association.

 

Chandrakant Singh

Chairman & co-founder, Chaitanya Gurukul

Mr Chandrakant Singh is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Chaitanya Gurukul Trust and Head Learning and Development at PurpleLeap. The Trust is trying to provide world class education from one of the remotest locations in Bihar to all. It imparts free education to the poorest and most deprived sections of society, despite being located in a place where even electricity has not reached. Mr Singh wants to float a company which will be doing Research and Development in the area of Affordable Education, Renewable Energy (Solar and Bio-Mass) and Agriculture & Food Procession Instrumentation in order to benefit even the lowest strata of society.
